Cards take care of the mildcats 8-3 to keep the good times rollin. Please check your car tomorrow for key marks if you were at the game.
That is all.
That is all.
I hear ya zipp. The weather 's been worse than last year, but obviously after tonite, folks care about this program. It's not too late to get behind what is a team that's getting better at the right time.Hard to believe but only 12 home games left...
And yes,we find out how much the team has evolved this weekend. The top of the lineup needs to lead the way. They are the vets.Big road series this weekend against Clemson.
No Worries, we’re all Cardinal fans. Going to the baseball games has been like a magic elixir for me the last 8 years, especially for someone who likes Football and Basketball a lot more.Ok Cards Baseball Fans...I've now seen that you have a soul against UK. The kids need you going forward against some of the best in the ACC.
Get out and get behind what might be the year!!
Sorry op
I have always wondered why College Baseball doesn’t kick their season off 1 month later. March 15 thru August 1st doesn’t seem like it upsets the college sports landscape anymore than February 15 thru July 1st would. This was only my 4th time going out to a game tonight. I feel bad not being there but this has been the 2nd bad weather year. I can do 50s, but 30s & 40s for baseball, it sucks. Let’s hope April & May are dry and at least 60. Go Cards, sweep Clemson!
I swear, I say every year how fast the Cards Baseball season goes by.Hard to believe but only 12 home games left...
Completely understand this. There is still plenty of baseball left. This was only my 4th time going out to a game tonight. I feel bad not being there but this has been the 2nd bad weather year. No because if you look at the back end, the CWS is played in June and the MLB draft is held about the same time. In addition there is the summer leagues (Cape Cod) that is all tied into the development of college players. You don’t want it competing with football.I have always wondered why College Baseball doesn’t kick their season off 1 month later. Maybe College Baseball is just slow to evolve as more midwestern and northern schools become players on the national scene.
There is way too much emphasize of stealing signals or signs. A good baseball player can figure out a coaches signals in minutes.Does anybody know what the story is on those odd change dispenser/solar panel/belt buckle things, that the UK players were wearing? Looked like a something from a futuristic Urban Cowboy movie.
I figured there was a good reason they had. I just feel bad for the players when we have a miserable March and early April weather wise.No because if you look at the back end, the CWS is played in June and the MLB draft is held about the same time. My son played Div II baseball in NC near Asheville and they start around Feb 1st sometimes now end of January. We had several games in the high 20’s and low 30’s/40’s as long as it didn’t snow or rain.I figured there was a good reason they had. This year has been pretty decent that way.
Have to be some hardy souls in the stands for those games. I’ve done the low 30s at JPS before, I just could never find anyone to go with me.My son played Div II baseball in NC near Asheville and they start around Feb 1st sometimes now end of January. There is no doubt that the wind gets you at JPS unless your sitting up high in the middle right underneath Sean Moth. It's mostly a getting-your-mind-right situation...
When I talk to other fans about going to games, I refer to it as "winter baseball". I don't make the games under the most extreme weather circumstances, but it's not that unlike late season football games.
The biggest problem I personally have at Patterson is the wind. For some reason, where and how that stadium is situated, there's almost always a breeze. No problem when it's above 60 degrees, but sitting outside for an extended period in cold wind is an issue. For whatever reason, I don't run into that as much at the football stadium...
Usually just family and girlfriends of the playersHave to be some hardy souls in the stands for those games. I’ve done the low 30s at JPS before, I just could never find anyone to go with me.
Ha ha,yes the wind. It's pretty much a running joke with some of the folks we see out there regularly. Adjust about 10-15 mph from whatever it is at the airport or wherever, then figure out which direction, figure in the movement of the sun and waalaa...choose your seat. The biggest problem I personally have at Patterson is the wind.
