this past summer, or so says Jeff Greer in his column this morning. It's a shame we can't get Team USA to help.him avoid stupid fouls also. Oh I forgot, that's our coaching staff's responsibilities !

????

He's just a sophomore. I think he's improved a great deal in a short amount of time. He has probably improved so much that this is likely to be his last year in college. I really don't understand all the anger towards the coaching staff regarding Onuaku's improvement.

I agree Cue Card, I think he is developing pretty good and I give UL most of the credit. It is funny Greer would give the credit to Team USA since he has spent one summer session with them. I think his time there helped him a great deal but I wouldn't say that is why he is better.

I also think he is wanting to go pro but I think he needs to have more than one good year. He would be going up against players his size every game who are a lot stronger. I think he would be a good pro player but not next year, he has a lot of player and physical developing to do.

Agreed Koz. He is much better than last year but that is because he was so raw last year. I believe he has worked very hard in the off season and up to now to improve his game. Having said that, he needs at least one more season of comparable growth to even consider leaving early.

I have to admit that since we pathetically have only 1 or 2 guys in the NBA I only watch from the second round of the playoffs forward, but from what I have seen Onuaku has little chance of making a roster next year.

All playing with Team USA did was show him how hard you have to work to play on the next level. He played with and against guys that legitimately have a shot at being PROs. IMO this was the motivation to get him to work on his game, and more importantly his effort!

This is the Felton Spencer esque transformation I was hoping to see.

If he turns pro of course I wish him the best. If he sticks for his JR season he might play his way into the back end of the lottery. He can be that good.
