I think we may just see the final straw with this upcoming game against Virginia. It may be the game where no one can defend KP any longer.

Louisville may not reach 40 points and lose by 40. Virginia is a team you have to be prepared for. You have to be disciplined and focused or it will get embarrassing.

Unless there's a miracle about to happen, it may be the worst loss on the season and that's saying something.

Virginia 74 Louisville 38

And the Cards have to play them again. I really hope I'm wrong and the team at least gives effort and can do something only Jordan Nwora has been able to do since Louisville joined the ACC.

Beat Virginia with willpower alone.

Va. is for real. They can actually score now and their defense is a good as ever. Not a good matchup for a team that needs career nights from players just to be in the game and gives away points and possessions like a drunken grandma on Halloween gives away candy.

I tend to agree. A career night from El and Cards hot shooting kept them from a blowout at Miami. I like Miami more than UVA this year, but UVA is legit.

Same goes for this game, barring a miracle or some hot above average shooting, this could be a 20+ point loss or worse.

I do think if (big if) the Cards can limit turnovers, they will get some opportunities to knock down some shots with the style of defense UVA plays. Agree, that they will need to be prepared to take advantage of those opportunities. I don’t trust them to shoot like that 2 games in a row though.

It’s really unfortunate because I truly believe even with this roster, better more consistent defensive effort and less turnovers would have kept them in more games and led to more wins this season.

This has the potential to be a hideous game for the Cards. If Pitt could do what they did against the Cards then UVA could make it even worse.

Louisville team total for this one is at 55.5. I don’t see them scoring 45 on VA.

we were 17.5 point underdogs. line has changed to 16 points. probability wise we will cover the spread unless we pull a Pittsburgh.

I’m a little torn on this one. There is a lot of movement between 16 and 17. The Cards performances against Miami, FSU and Tech (mostly Miami) are playing into this. I think the Cards have covered 8 of their last 13. UVA has not been great against the spread. Also - You have to think the Cards performance against Miami will have Bennett/UVA on high alert.

I will be surprised if UVA’s offense does not carve up Louisville’s defense. The way they move the ball, move without the ball, slip screens, backdoor, etc… if Cards can stop some of that action and shoot it well or decent, we may have a closer game.

Although it’s good, I’m not so much worried about UVA’s defense as I am their offense. I think the Cards will get some good looks, but will shoot their average or below and have goofy turnovers.

I’m not confident about it but I think UVA covers tonight and wins by 18 or 20.

Yeah I can definitely see UVA carving up the Card's poor defense like a Thanksgiving turkey and scoring nearly at will. Then they'll probably force a bunch of turnovers and some unforced.

I don't say this often but I dislike their little guard Kihei Clark who I swear has been there for a decade. He always has a big game against us, especially if he hasn't been shooting or playing well in the games leading up to ours.

Right - it does feel like Clark’s been there forever.

Agree on Clark. Maybe it’s just an optical illusion but it seems like his arms are too short. T-Rex arms!
