I could be prouder of a team in the last 20 years going into Rupp. Short handed but not short of heart, they took a really good team to the last handful of possessions.

Cats had a couple guys with career nights,a packed house and the benefit of an ounce of home cooking but these Cards never backed down an inch.

Idk how it plays out with 7 guys going forward. Tonight though,I salute the tenacity of this team to try to get the W for our Program and fans.🫡🫡🫡

They never quit, they laid it all on the line. Much respect to Kelsey and team !! Rick took several teams in there with a lot more talent that got a mud hole stomped in them.. These guys were not intimidated at all.

The play where Smith went to the floor and the ky player wound up in the middle of our bench should have been a technical. He kicked Smith in the head and also looked like he slapped or clawed Rooths in the face ..

I know it was a loss; but I have never been more proud of a UL team that lost a BB game, than this one and our staff.

There area lot of kids who watched this game and Kelsey and these players won a lot of them over.

This is the kind of game that lends to the phrase "moral victory." Most of the time that's frowned on, but not this game. Cards should have never been in this game, but they sure didn't act like it.

Without Mr. Perfecto for UK, they may have lost this game.

From a one game perspective they played good but ran into a team that played great. Anyone upset with the coaches or team after that performance is just a hater. You just have to tip your hat and move on.

What does this mean moving forward, no clue. The one thing I do know the injuries turned a tournament team into a bubble team.

Was sitting there late last night and started to wonder what the game reminded me of.

Reminded me of some the old 80s welterweight fights when dudes would just go toe to toe at some point. That second half was something else. Guys just landing blow after blow.

We never could get the back to back stops.
Credit Butler with holding that thing together. Our guys were playing to win.
