To get the ball run down your throat by a team the caliber of Indiana St. That RB is average size - for a HS back.

Nothing about this team is impressive. I’m not going to say CBP has lost it, but I question his position coaches especially on D.

I dont disagree but how could any of our guys be excited to play? Clearly they aren't. People say we shouldn't have played the Alabama game...we shouldn't play this freaking game. When a team scores and it's demoralizing, you know you shouldn't be playing them.

It doesn’t matter what the conditions are. Indiana State should not be running it down our throats and they should not be able to stop our offense. Of course, we should not even be playing them. Absolutely nothing to gain.

Umm - because they’re football players? The players should be excited about getting back on the field and getting that crappy taste out of their mouths.

If we shouldn’t play really good teams and we shouldn’t play really bad teams - that’s a pretty small sweet spot that you’re creating for us.

I disagree - there’s always something to gain by competing.

I was all for playing Alabama. But this games doesn't inspire. That said, go out there and dominate. If Indiana state moves the ball on our defense, then this will be a brutal year.

Right now ISU has proven to be all the competition we can handle.

The rain delays have been a factor, but the bottom line is the kids aren't playing with any type of urgency or desire. jmac1029 is spot on. They are not competing right now.

We'll see if they compete in the second half. If Petrino can't get them fired up to play after that first half then he has already lost this team and that would be shocking.

I can understand Bama but there is absolutely no excuse for this none. I’m not sure what should be done at this point. They had better come out a different team after the half

I don’t think it’s a family issue, I’m beginning to believe most of our positions coaches are horrible
Maybe but recall the first inclination when Krags was here was to blame all the assistant coaches. Obviously that wasn't the real problem and it isn't the real problem now.

So what’s the real problem? Because we know Bobby can coach

Weather was a big part of that game. No one was going to have any success throwing the ball in that weather. ISU was sending everyone with no fear of Louisville going over the top.

With that said you can't win a bunch of games if you can't win the line of scrimmage. While the sample size is pretty small Louisville isn't clearly winning the line of scrimmage on either side of the ball against a either opponent. The offensive line has been very disappointing. The bigger concern is the is the defense. They were getting pushed around and now they have lost 2 more guys on that side. It may turn around, but this team has a bad feel to it.

MM the weather played role, that was a really heavy rain impossible to throw in that stuff. Different weather 28-0 may have happened, but not in that weather. Not surprisingly when it stopped raining Louisville went on a 24-0 run which is basically what you thought would happen.

Now your concern overall is valid.

What we know is Petrino was once a a great coach. We also know now he is not. Petrino 1.0 has that team down 28-0 the first quarterback and backs off to win by 70.

That’s a huge assumption that I’m not willing to agree with. He just doesn’t forget to coach. And if your still talking about Bama once again who in the past has whipped or just beat Bama especially in the opener????answer: No one.

As for last night once the weather broke and Cunningham entered the game the O-line started creating lanes and Cunningham threw. They actually started playing together. Even the D. The conditions at the game some of the worse I seen having been there. There wasn’t going to be any passing so we became one dimensional due to weather. There’s room for improvement but I expect a lot of this we are young. They did cut all the stupid penalties. Will next week.

But we can all cancel Brohm as the next coach for now. He couldn’t even beat Eastern Michigan
