Just don't do it. Fair warning; if you come here to troll, just know you can lose posting privileges.
Meh.Very disappointing day. Nightmare outcome.
Bump.
Thanks for keeping order on the forum, Steelers.
Some still just haven't gotten the message. SMH. There are home boards, and even the main basketball board to troll all things UofL. You just can't do it here.
Same boat. I see a lot of people trash him on RR, and they might have had a different experience, but every convo I've had with him he's been pretty solid and more times than not pretty fair to me when I've lost my cool. I did ask a question on this thread yesterday that got deleted and I wasn't sure why, wasn't bashing or trolling, he could have prob banned me like some mods would but didn't. But I'm still curious as to why the OP thinks they will win their appeal and on what grounds? Maybe it was deleted because it didn't need to be discussed in this thread. If that is it I apologize againSteelers is a good dude. I've talked to him many a time in the national board. I shall not troll and wish you guys best of luck.
I'll answer that with my opinion. But I'm still curious as to why the OP thinks they will win their appeal and on what grounds?
I'll answer that with my opinion.
2nd and maybe more importantly, there is no actual proof that any player ever directly paid for sex. As far as I can tell, they had college dorm parties where some people had sex. Young people in college dorms have sex all the time. I know. I was young once and I had plenty of sex in college dorms. Anyone who thinks young people don't have college dorm sex are just being naive; and frankly hypocrites. The NCAA needs a serious dose of reality if they think otherwise.
Ok. Like I said I was curious in that regard. But I can see that train of thought. I don't think the 2nd point will fly though because it's not just having sex. It's providing sex that was paid for to minors on a recruiting trip. It's not the sex issue, it's the pay for sex issue. But that's my opinion that no one cares about. Just a thought.I'll answer that with my opinion.
UofL has a very good chance at winning parts of the appeal (and lets face it, the only 3 they really care about are the vacated wins, the 2012 final four, and the golden ticket - the 2013 national championship) by pointing out that most of the investigating results were provided to the NCAA by UofL who fully cooperated once the issue was brought to the public eye. It's just common sense that had UofL & Pitino been providing this 'perk' on purpose to potential recruits, they would have done everything possible to cover it up. The ONLY person who refused to talk was Andre McGee. There's a reason for his actions or lack of. He was guilty of this deplorable action.
UofL however addressed this issue straight forward with full cooperation from everyone not named Andre McGee and the rest of us tried to understand why McGee would do such a thing. He was a rogue employee who for whatever reason decided to do this. I'll go to my grave believing that to be true.
I don't think Pitino is a saint by any stretch, but I don't think he would have condoned or approved of this had he known about it. His name alone gets talent to commit to playing for him.

You very well could be right. I guess we'll find out around 90 days or so after the appeal is officially filed. I suspect the special council UofL hired will end up being a key player in the final outcome. Total speculation but this all feels scripted to me.Ok. Like I said I was curious in that regard. How long do they have to make a decision after the 45 day appeal time range? Or is it one of those things the NCAA can basically take all the time they want? You very well could be right. 90 days after UofL files the appeal according to some article I read somewhere. I've read so many that I can't recall the actual source. How long do they have to make a decision after the 45 day appeal time range? Or is it one of those things the NCAA can basically take all the time they want?
