Coach Petrino said that he knows who the starting QB "likely" is ?? He has to look at film and talk to the QBs ??

Kyle Bolin has thrown for:
388 yds 3 TD in 2 1/2 qtrs vs UK
301 yds 1 TD in 3 qtrs vs UGA (most passing yds allowed by UGA all year)
157 yds 1 TD in THREE (3) POSSESSIONS vs UH (2 of 3 possessions resulted in TDs)

Hang in there Kyle...smh.

That is a really good question. It is very strange seeing a highly successful offensive coach not sticking to the offense that made him successful. I don't think I have ever seen a coach change his offensive or defensive system and be successful.

It is pretty clear that he doesn't think he can run his offense with this group. The problem with that is the coaches really don't know how to coach the spread option either. You don't have that many issues with the QB/RB exchange if you know what you are doing.

The biggest issue offensively is the offensive line. It would be hard to go under center with this line.

I would go with Bolin because he gets the ball out quickly and accurately.

Keep in mind they haven't played two great defensive teams. They both ranked in the 60's even with games against FCS schools. Clemson is a completely different animal.

Dating back to his departure to the Falcon's, CBP has been vocal about his desire to coach a true duel threat QB (Vick at the time)...I think that affinity may be clouding this process...that's the Dr. Phil in me, don't get me started on psychoanalyzing UK fans (Mommy issues, if you must know).

He had more yards against UGA that anothe team in only 3 quarters?

That can not be according to some. He only does well against teams who hav enot prepared for him. So UGA miust have been surprised he played and did not plan for him. Yeah right.

As I noted in the musical chairs thread, it's just not a winning recipe to have a weekly charade back there.

It's fairly interesting over the summer but not when the season is running.

I'd like to know what some of you are smoking to think that Kyle Bolin had a good game against Georgia. Yes, he threw for 300 yards and 1 TD, but he also threw 2 interceptions and was sacked 3 times, in a game we lost 37-14.

Kyle was only a redshirt freshman last year, so I definitely think he's going to get better and better, as will Jackson. The only question that matters this week is who gives us the best chance to beat Clemson? Do we need Jackson's dual threat ability more, or Bolin's accurate passing and better knowledge of the offense?

I can make a case for either one of them. Will our OL hold up better in pass protection than it did against Auburn? If so, then I'd like to see Bolin in there. If not, then I'd prefer to have Jackson's escapability.

It's clear to me that Petrino will be making the starting QB call based in great part on this factor.

As far as the O, I'm reminded of the dance where the band was not very good.

They asked the crowd if there were any requests, and from the back you heard "Yeah. Try playing one you know!"

Save for a few delayed blitzes that weren't picked up,CP might have to re-consider...if true.

His offense has to rely on spreading the field with the pass to open up those running lanes for the backs. That's what I saw happening late.
