No Problem with North Carolina

We had issues with a neutral field where our fan base clearly out numbered Purdue's. It's going to be a real test. Hope their learning curve is sharp. Most of what I saw when I watched the replay can be fixed but hope it can be done in a week. Love you positive outlook hope your right.

UNC is better than Purdue and it's a true road game. The 'kinks' better be worked out especially with the false starts or the Cards are going to get freaking rolled.

I'm not so sure about UNC being "better than Purdue" after what I saw on Saturday. I have faith in our staff to get things working in the right direction. UNC will not be able to contain LJ.

GO CARDS - BEAT EVERYBODY!!! God Bless America!!!

Keep an eye out on our five receiver set its very deadly. Go Cards.

Agree with you on the 5 wideouts... especially if they really get the running game going with more balance.

Spread the defense out and attack with multiple options on the ground or through the air. One of the big positives I took from the game against Purdue.

Bonnafon showed some promise in the backfield. Need to use him more in the run and screen game. Just my armchair coaching opinion.

Stating the obvious... have to get the false start issues corrected...

Athlon Sports had Purdue ranked 84th; UNC 42nd. You are kidding yourself if you think UNC isn't better than Purdue. In all fairness, they had California ranked 76th which tells me two things; the preseason rankings aren't accurate and it's possible both UofL and UNC overlooked their opening opponents.

If the OL can make hole I have confidence in Reggie getting positive yards. He showed he can definitely run. But once again it's on the OL

That's a fair ranking for Cal...Cal is a B-A-D team, has been for 10+ years...Purdue would have K-I-C-K-E-D Cals @$$...If anything, Purdue was under ranked in the pre season...That's the Jeff Brohm effect!!!

With the graduation losses UNC had, they were over ranked to start the year...Their defense can NOT, and will NOT, be able to stop The Cards...The Cards will stop The Cards if they keep making the mental errors they made against Purdue!!!

So, why even reference them? Preseason rankings mean nothing, especially with a new coaching staff. I watched UNC and us. I'd say that UNC and PUR are pretty similar teams in terms of what they are good at, bad at, and their respective rankings. Of course, if we don't turn the ball over we win by 2+ TD's.

Get real. Rolled? Yes, we could lose but no way we're rolled by UNC. Cal moved the ball at will against them. They may have a better roster than Purdue, but their QB's are not as good. The Cards dominated Purdue everywhere but in points. Mistakes can be a killer so they need to be solved.

Just keeping it real and grounded in my own mind fellas. Don't take it personal. The Cards were a 26 point favorite and won by 7 mainly because of shooting themselves in the foot. Take away the red zone blunders, stop chasing points, and understand not to move until the ball is actually snapped by the O-line and the Cards probably cover.

The Cards are favored by 10 against UNC. We make the same stupid mistakes, we lose. That's my opinion.

Not much to go on at this point... But if I had to bet, gimme Purdue over UNC on a neutral field. That said, UNC needs to get their ish together as an ACC team...

Yeah, the ACC had a pretty embarrassing weekend. VaTech did their job and we won, but not much else. FSU lost their starting QB for the season but they looked bad before that happened. This shows just how much preseason polls mean. What a joke. Just a popularity contest.

I believe UNC faces the same struggle as uk.

That is old school BB money not wanting anything overshadowing THIER sport.

They've had good players and teams, but great players don't want to go somewhere that puts them at #2 on the "must see" list from jump.

We have slowly overcome the same thing, but I truly believe that for Tom Jurich, we'd still be right there with them.

As would WBB, baseball, soccer, and all others.

They lost everybody on offense, and just about everybody on defense. That said, UL has never looked great on the road in any ACC contest. Clean up the mistakes and we win, but barely.

Not that confident at UNC. We MUST stop fumbling and we MUST reduce our penalties. Those are killers, especially the fumbles. If we don't fumble against Purdue, we win easy (tack on 2 more touchdowns and extra points - so 49-24).

It continues the disturbing trend from last year. This can't continue or we'll be an average team this year.
