Lots of talk yet again about expanding the tourney… I honestly don’t understand why they don’t just add a week of games and invite everybody?
You could even do away with the whole drama of the selection committee and seed everyone by win pct.
There are 351 teams in the NCAA. Rank them 1 to 351 by win percentage and draw up the bracket. The bottom 190 (determined by win percentage) play on Tuesday and Wednesday of the first week. 95 teams are eliminated, getting. It down to 256. Games Thursday and Friday knock it down to 128, then Saturday and Sunday games drop it to 64.
Imagine the streaming possibilities for that first week. It would literally be epic.
