Nate Oats

I am not lobbying for Nate, but to be fair the zebras were not going to allow Alabama to win at rupp gym today. John’s team committed a grand total of 3 fouls in the 1st half. I like Oscar as a person, but nobody in college basketball goes over the back more on rebounds than him. And of course no foul.

Bama didn’t help themself today either. The guy with the crazy fro? Man, he blocks out like a fourth grader, meaning he doesn’t block out at all. I’d sit that guy for a week.

He may well be the best rebounder/front line player around since Wes Unseld but, yes, I see bunch of un-called Over the Backs.

Peace

That is ridiculous numbers. Would’ve loved to watch him play.
Wes was not very tall. In fact, he was eligible to be drafted! He could out jump at his girth grab the ball with two hands, turn in the air and make a perfect pass the length of the court. Soft touch from seventeen feet in with shot above his head.

I was a kid when Unseld was at Louisville it was fun to watch him play. He was listed at 6’8” but he was probably 6’7” but he was broad and took up space. I remember St. Louis came to town with the 7’2” center I think his name was Rich Newman. Unseld tore him up and he relentlessly did exactly as you described. He would get the rebound turn in the air make a pinpoint full court pass.
