I really wish my first post was about anything but this. I'm a long time
63 year old lurker. I have never posted on here before and really never thought I would,
but I have something to say.

First of all I am a life long card fan and always will be. Most of my other card friends
are in melt down mode over this surprising news, but here are my thoughts.

First we just need to calm down, we don't know the facts and what went on in this situation.
It does no good to worry and stress when we don't know what really happened.

Second lets just say that everything that this woman says is 100% true ( I'm sure not everything is true)
but lets say it is, what are we really looking at here? Some recruits and a few players got treated to
an adult show. Is it in poor taste? Yes. Was it wrong? Yes. Was it a major violation? I don't think so.

McGee spent a few hundred dollars at a time on entertainment (the money had to come from him, do you think for a second that if the money was coming from the university that he would have to complain about giving out 100 to 200 dollars at a time? No. If the money was coming from the university he would not need to trade tickets.)

I think the big deal is because these women were strippers, had he spent a few hundred dollars on pizza and movies it would have been self reported with little to no punishment.

Yes I know it's bad that they were strippers but my question is

In the eyes of the NCAA should it matter that they are strippers? I so no. It should be a question of recruits getting a few hundred dollars of benefits on a visit.

Should we be punished? Yes should we be hammered? NO!

Some say Coach should be let go, that he should step down. I say that's crazy. The man had no idea this was going on ( watch his interviews) You can see he is in shock and is truly heart broken. I ask you this. If the worst happens and we are forced to rebuild our program, is there anyone in the world you would rather have rebuild it than Rick? Do you really think anyone could do a better job? I say no!


We ask our team to suck it up in hard times to fight when it looks like there is no way to win, to reach down inside and find the winning spirit. Well i'm asking all Card fans to do that now. Lets stand behind our team and our coach when they need it the most.

Are we to the point of comparing strippers to pizza? I can't believe I'm posting this, but yes, strippers are a huge deal, especially potentially underage girls stripping to underage boys.

I agree, all I'm asking is in the eyes of the NCAA does it matter what the benefit was? The cost was a few hundred dollars, Should the punishment be worse because it was strippers rather than a band playing for them?

Also I have read where her girls were there but no where have I seen they were stripping for them. Maybe they were and that is a crime but as of right now I have not seen anything that says the did anything other than they were there.

If sex wasn't involved then I don't think the NCAA will come down hard on UL and Rick will be able to stay. If the NCAA finds proof that underaged kids were given prostitutes it could get ugly. It will be important that former and current players remain quiet to keep the title intact. The NCAA has lost a lot of credibility and the ability to enforce harsh punishments with the mishandling of the Miami, Penn St, and UNC cases

Yes it is a very bad look ( I think that is what coach is really upset about, the way it makes us look not the punishment) But as of right now all we know for sure is that it was stripping. Thank you Sir, I must say I enjoy your posts very much. I love the way you take no crap from uk fans and how you put them in their place with facts.

I live in an area with a lot of uk fans and you have no idea what I go through. I often wish I had the skills to argue with them like you do.

Nobody is sure what Lyle "confirmed, why was this leaked anyway and the timing of this whole thing is suspect. I'm telling you I smell some "Blue Rats" about this whole deal !
