I've been critical of Sirmon all season, but the defense has been playing better, as indicated by this:

UK's Stephen Johnson stats last year against UofL: 16/27, 338 yards, 3 TD's, 1 Int., 0 Sack. That was against Grantham, as we all know.

UK's Stephen Johnson stats this year against UofL: 8/19, 110 yards, 3 Sack.

A significant improvement.

Grantham will have all he needs to be successful in Gainesville. Defense has been solid in Florida for years. And a wealth of talent. No need to work hard and recruit or develop any players. The work is done for him.

Well, I think the bowl game will be a benchmark on Sirmon. Bud his defense played well against UK.

They showed improvement in the last 3 games culminating in the crushing of SuCk. Which is a good indicator for the future.....I hope.

Grantham with that kind of talent he will have some really good defenses. I don't know if they are keeping Shannon for recruiting purposes but if they do then that only helps.

The next few months of recruiting will tell us more about Sirmon. He has several holes to fill especially on the Dline and LB position. Can his group close out the class with good players at those positions? He has to be able to recruit at a higher level. He is building his side of the ball. Let's see how he does.

He earned his name at UGA and they were not void of talent, so what’s the difference now that he’s at Florida?
It doesn’t matter if you’re at Florida or Louisville you still have to develop these kids.
I don’t buy it - he is who he is and his reputation and results will follow him to Gainsville.

In the one year that he was at MSU they improved 100 spots in total defense to 10th and gave up 155 fewer yards per game but who knows - you might be onto something.

BP Ghost funny stuff - btw who is your Avatar?
Makes me laugh everyday!

Mullen had the perfect opportunity to jettison Grantham and with a big checkbook to find his replacement.

He did not...

TG good enough for the Gators but not good enough for Louisville.

Right.

Didn't hear where Mullen tried for Sirmon...

Good enough to lose to your rivals back to back.
I reiterate.

3rd and Grantham. 41 points, Senior day loss to SuCkS
Sirmon. 17 points. Win at Crummywealth.

I guess you'll trade in your cowbell for a gator hat. Enjoy......

I don't measure myself against slappies. I do pay attention to the million-dollar decisions that people make...

SuCkS 41 UofL 38
Ole Miss 31 miss st 28
UofL 44 SuCkS 17.

What' the common denominator...................

Ok Mrs Grantham
Lol - ok kerry. I get that you hate Grantham and are glad he’s gone but, you can’t admit that you’re using entirely subjective facts to try and bolster your position? Only a short time ago you were using richt not taking him to Miami as “evidence” that he sucks and, you’re still incorrectly saying that he was fired from Louisville. Maybe you’re not as versed on the subject as you think?

In any event - there’s no reason to be a big baby about it. Just saying...

I did not realize until I read an article this morning the HUGE pay cut Grantham took to leave here. Man, he must really have a dislike for Bobby to take that cut (UofL salary $1.302 million, Miss St $660,000).

I would have like to heard that discussion between him and his wife. "Honey, I don't like my boss. He's downright mean to me and he lives in the nicer part of our neighborhood so I'm packing you and the kids up and we're moving to Starkville, Mississippi. Oh, and by the way this real nice guy down there named Dan is gonna pay me about half what I'm currently making".

He must be married to a real keeper. My wife's response, "suck it up".

The $660K is only the part of Grantham's salary that was paid directly by MSU. The Bulldog Club has a fund for assistant coaches to supplement the salary paid by the schools. The money that the Bulldog Club pays to coaches is not and does not have to be disclosed anywhere. My understanding is that Grantham did take a pay cut to go to MSU, but it ended up being a very small pay cut.

Yeah. You posted on another thread that you have no social media sources and you don’t read the CJ, so all your info is made up or repeated from someone else on the message board or talk radio.
Red was blown up in that thread for challenging the info. Guess you're keeping him company. Are you ever on the prevailing side of an issue?...

Let’s see.. still playing the kitties, Yum Center still standing, TJ still gone... hmm. Maybe you should ask yourself that question.
