Could schools knocked out of the NCAA tournament by U of L ( or any other schools later deemed ineligible) sue for loss of revenue for tournament games after their defeat? I'd think they could claim television revenue related to the next game in the tournament as a minimum for damages. This could even turn into a class action suit for some attorney.

I doubt it I never heard of this happening before. If this was a case they would have already filed a long time ago.

Just because it hasn't happened yet doesn't mean it couldn't. Some lawyer wanting national exposure and notoriety launches a suit on behalf of their alma mater. Pretty sure they would mention it on ESPN.

Even though the wins are taken away from U of L, it doesn’t give the win to the opposing team... Besides most schools wouldn’t lower themselves IMO.

North Carolina A&T will file suit Monday.
