Miller Moss Family Home Destroyed

Hoping for the best for the Moss family and the hundreds of thousands affected. Mayor Bass and Gov Newsome have a lot to answer to those without homes.
As someone who lived in So Cal for 4 years, I can confirm that the Mayor and Governor are responsible for the Santa Ana winds and extreme low humidity. 😏

Glad Miller and his family were not injured.

The victims of the fires are blaming it on the government officials for multiple reasons. They haven’t done brush cleaning for some time now because they did not want to disrupt the habitat of field mice. Brush cleaning is very effective in preventing forest fires. Residents are also complaining that the water system is antiquated and has not been upgraded. They are accusing there government officials of spending money on social issues instead of infrastructure needs. This is not a political statement it is what has really made this situation worse than what it should be.

You are correct Mr. Kozmas. I'll add concerning the water problems that they voted app. 10 years ago to build new water reservoirs, They haven't even constructed a single one! That, and little upgrades to the water lines, having procedures in-place in case of natural emergencies (i.e. the wild fires), poor communication and the result - widespread panic & chaos. I still have family out there. Actually, several that have moved back to KY/TN, have stated that they never to go back. Cost of repairs, taxes, fuel, utilities and certainly insurance costs, etc. They just could not keep up. fwiw

This is nothing new. Be it Hurricanes, tornadoes, or forest fires. Those politicians in charge of these areas have to be accountable for insufficiency. Is that politics or is it common sense?

What exactly does politics mean? A lot of people now use it as making something political when the situation doesn't apply to it. To believe raging fires, destroying a city where there's a lack of water and firefighters, is not worthy of political accountability is as naive as it gets.

The mayor and the governor are responsible for the city of Los Angeles and the state of California. That is not being political. I'm sure the Moss family has questions for the politicians about what happened to their home.

Deteriorating/antiquated/broken public utilities IS a govt problem.

When more money is spent on social problems while cutting public health and safety funds, that IS a govt problem.

Regardless whether they are red or blue.
