When asked by @TimSullivan714 if Louisville players are still responding to the coaching staff or if they’re tuning them out, Malik Williams paused and then said, “I don’t have a comment for that.”

I would have to see his facial reaction but I don’t have a problem with the “no comment”When asked by @TimSullivan714 if Louisville players are still responding to the coaching staff or if they’re tuning them out, Malik Williams paused and then said, “I don’t have a comment for that.”
I think he did.Its sad it’s come to this. But I’m also very frustrated by Malik’s sort of cryptic answer. Be a leader. Call out the bullshit.
I was at the mindest of keeping him also until the ncaa stuffs comes down. But it is so so toxic with the BB program and alot of fans. It does neither party anygood. U of l might just need to work out some kind of deal . That has been floating aound the past couple of weeksI think Mack made a lot of mistakes in the off season...should probably go back to recruiting freshman...maybe only 1 or 2 transfers. If next year just as bad...then time to change. We need our results on our infractions...4 years and still waiting...is affecting coaching...players...recruiting....fans! Ridiculous how long this takes...should get nothing considering time served.
But that was the problem. It’s almost 10 years since we won the NC. The pressure to win and win soon was bearing down on him. He thought he could do it faster with transfers.I think Mack made a lot of mistakes in the off season...should probably go back to recruiting freshman...maybe only 1 or 2 transfers. I justreally would like to know what happened with him and those assit's . I dont really care about Dino because he was thrash and selfish anyway. But that was the problem. I go back and forth with him...but the unknown has to affect his recruiting.I was at the mindest of keeping him also until the ncaa stuffs comes down. Those other schools were not on probation at the time . That is a big difference.Malik is a net-negative guy at this point: he subtracts more than he adds. And he has no future here if you want to dispense with him now. That’s a big part of Mack’s problems…there are guys on this team who shouldn’t be here.
The NCAA stuff is an excuse. Not affecting other programs like Kansas and Auburn. Maybe you do wait to hire a coach until it’s over, but that doesn’t say much about the way things are now…
That’s no difference. Most people nationally have no awareness of that outside Louisville. And most of these other transgressions (schools) are far greater than Louisville’s.Those other schools were not on probation at the time . That is a big difference.
Yeah, nothing was really said about Murray not getting the job done. He was responsible for recruiting the Irish Hulk (bust), Sam Williamson (leaning towards being a bust) and David Johnson (left too early).I justreally would like to know what happened with him and those assit's . I dont really care about Dino because he was thrash and selfish anyway.
Agree. Sit Maliks ass on the bench or let him stay at his room. Soft as hell and pitiful energyMalik is a net-negative guy at this point: he subtracts more than he adds. I feel a bit sorry for Malik. With all his injuries he is just barely limping around out there. I noticed one play where Sam made a great pass to Malik in NDs zone. Instead of getting an easy bucket he hesitated and passed it back out due to his lack of mobility and lift.Agree. Sit Maliks ass on the bench or let him stay at his room. Soft as hell and pitiful energy
I agree 100%!Our fan base isn’t helping the situation with their booing. Why would a recruit want to come to a school that boos their players. We keep making our situation worse every game.
I doubt any NBA team was going to draft him anyway. Not surprised by Sullivan’s “loaded question”; but Malik is entitled to respond to a question without being punished by this staff, and he needs to be on the floor win or lose. His punishment will be on draft day ……. NBA GMs will know about his response and he is not good enough to overcome a reputation as divisive to his team.
UL, it’s coaches and it players need to finish the season without adding to the drama.
They were booing the coaches, every program that has pride would do the same thing.I agree 100%!
How do you know that they are not booing the product and the outcome? My guess is that they were booing the coaches, the players and the performance. I understand the frustration but I also don’t think that makes recruits excited to join this group. They were booing the coaches, every program that has pride would do the same thing.
I was at the wake forest game (a win) and when the game was being delayed for a minute when Mack was arguing with a referee, the fans were yelling for Mack to shut up. He’s lost the team and the fans. He may be a good coach but he isn’t a good fit here. How do you know that they are not booing the product and the outcome? They also have some very good recruits and returning players.I’m not counting on Mack’s recruits, whoever is here has the portal to get this right quickly. Kentucky is full of transfers and they are pretty good this year after a horrible year last year.
Supposedly our best recruit (James) is sitting out this year with an injury. We have some talent, just no guidance. They also have some very good recruits and returning players.
Then we’re in a lot of trouble because who in their right mind wants to walk into this. As I’ve said on other threads. Hold on. Wasn’t at the game. Our fans were booing the players? Our fan base isn’t helping the situation with their booing. Why would a recruit want to come to a school that boos their players. We keep making our situation worse every game.
I think that is a lot of the frustration. I have enthusiastically cheered for plenty of teams with average talent. But when they are not hustling and improving, that turns people off. To make matters worse, this group seems to hate each other and the coaching staff has no clue how to put together a rotation or prevent dissension in the ranks.Supposedly our best recruit (James) is sitting out this year with an injury. I think hate each other is probably too strong. The apparent shuffling of players has made this a competition within a competition. The players are just as frustrated.I think that is a lot of the frustration. I have enthusiastically cheered for plenty of teams with average talent. Was at the game until the final buzzer (unlike the majority of attendees) and heard the booing but the dude I came with said it was in reaction to the way the ND players were reacting after the game. Then we’re in a lot of trouble because who in their right mind wants to walk into this. Hold on. Wasn’t at the game. Our fans were booing the players?
And I have heard this from people that are close to the program as well. I have no reason to believe it's not true. That’s a big part of Mack’s problems…there are guys on this team who shouldn’t be here.
You actually think that no one outside of Louisville knows that?! Every coach we are recruiting against knows that, and every one of them is letting every recruit we are trying to sign know it. Repeatedly. That’s no difference. Most people nationally have no awareness of that outside Louisville. And most of these other transgressions (schools) are far greater than Louisville’s.
We’re living in and dwelling on the past, some of us to defend nonperformance that shouldn’t be defended…
Absolutely I believe it. It never comes up from anyone not trying to defend underperformance in athletics and basketball specifically. You actually think that no one outside of Louisville knows that?! Every coach we are recruiting against knows that, and every one of them is letting every recruit we are trying to sign know it. Repeatedly.
