Unlike Satterfield, if Mack face plants this year, he likely has no buyout to pay due to NCAA infractions during his watch.'

Contrast that to the slappies who have to pay $60 million to get rid of Pitino Lite.

As many problems as we have, I actually think I prefer U of L's position to the slappies...

What do the finances, in your opinion look like, should the Cards be HC shopping this summer?

To be clear just a hypothetical question.

We’re out of cash. So in the short run, any changes that involve a big buyout are probably off the table. As much as we don’t need more NCAA problems, that’s the only silver lining with Mack’s situation. I think he’s more likely to lose his job than Satterfield.

Mack’s salary is $4 million, which is a pretty good starting point with a new coach. Of course, we’re not covering his or any other salary with our current revenues. That has to improve almost immediately to make any changes regardless of costs.

With the stain of how things went down with Jurich’s departure and now the Tyra mess, there could be a lot of house cleaning in athletics. It hopefully comes with some old faces we trust. IMO that’s almost imperative…
