Mack may be done at Louisville?

Sorry don’t agree with your logic. The fact that the President is so upset with so mild an infraction as some here are willing to overlook, tells me it’s more about the university perception not on furthering our basketball tradition. We are an academic institution after all.
We are an academic institution that has a President that can’t raise any money she was a bad hire. So we have an athletic director who has no experience working as an athletic director and a president who has never been a president of a university before. Who was the brain child behind these hires? She needs to look at herself in the mirror and see that she is failing the university.

(WDRB) --

"One of our goals at UofL is to be a great place to invest, UofL President Neeli Bendapudi, Ph.D., said in the release. "This is proof-positive that we are succeeding in that goal — that UofL and its research are a strong investment. The work this funding supports has the potential to address the grand challenges of our time: how we empower communities, advance health and engineer the future of work."

According to a news release, in 2019-20, the university was awarded a record-breaking $170 million. That was an $18 million increase over the previous year. The money was used to train students for technology-related "jobs of tomorrow" and to research and test vaccines at the Pfizer Vaccines Center of Excellence.

The 2019-20 fiscal year was also the best for making money off university technologies. U of L earned $9.4 million from license royalties and other related income -- a 30-percent increase over the year prior.

Yell for his sake i'm sure he was just passing along something he felt was credible. But i always hear from journalist #1 rule before reporting to check ,check again ,then check again CYA everything you print because you will own it.
Well I see the premium forums is more a rough draft rather than reporting. It's why that stuff isn't published and I don't really want to pay, because it's good work but it's a lot of stuff they hear and give us because we demand it. Ty is giving us what we want and doing the best to get it right, they need to lay off of him.

The enemy within. Screen shot behind a pay wall & put it out there. Then you twist and turn and make it into a blowup. That's the ugly of the social world today. I've read and reread everything he posted in that thread. He wasn't out of line anywhere. There was other folks adding what they were told by sources.

Lotta people taking runs at me. That’s fine. I didn’t ‘report’ a story. I was asked on the
@UofLRivals
boards if I had heard about the rumor, and yes, there was chatter out there. There 100% was. I will be on with
@TheOnlySweeney
and
@JStreble82
tomorrow to talk about it
FYI, he does this show weekly and talks FB. Probably not much FB talk this week.

So Louisville was awarded $170 million I would assume that was a government grant and not individual donations. I would also think it was earmarked for research not athletics, since we are talking sports could you enlighten us on how much money was raised for athletics because that is what I thought we were talking about.

He’s taking a ton of heat on Twitter for that decision as well. I’m not seeing any local Louisville media guys supporting him or backing up his rumors either. He seems to be on an island on this right now. Feel bad for the guy.

ESPN 680 has me on for a segment once a week. That was nothing new.

As far as nobody backing me up, you're very mistaken. Plenty of people in the know sent private messages to me and said not to worry about what I did as they were hearing the same.

Ethan Moore went on LSL and confirmed everything I was saying on the boards.

247 had multiple insiders not named Jody or Michael reiterate what I said.

Maybe don't rely on Twitter.

Exactly. I didn't 'report' anything or write a story. Message boards are for talking about rumors.

I’ve not met too many folks who have been glowing very often in what, 6 yrs?
I had to give ALL Louisville sports talk radio a tune out, for my own peace of mind. Maybe some day I’ll be able to tune back in. Someday?

Not yet. Audit taking forever.
The latest complete audited reports have come out in recent history is Oct 25. The earliest I can find is a couple in late September.

Concerns (if there are any) in this year's UofL financials/audit may be related to the Hospital takeover/integration financial treatment, and the Foundation asset(s) valuation. I kind of doubt there would be any issue relating to Athletics financials. Tyra seems to be a financial straight shooter.

It is most likely simply that the back and forth questions and clarifications (Outside Auditor to UofL Finance) are taking a while.

I expect the audited financials will be released by Oct 21 or Oct 22. Just a pure guess on my part.

Probably my last post here. Agree with KOZMAS 100%; some in our fan base are part of the problem (albeit a small part) that we are experiencing within our Sports Program.

I am clearly in the minority, but I will leave with this one opinion. When UL, the fan base and the Louisville community at large sat by and allowed the CJ and some local elitist to push Dr James Ramsey out of office …….the program lost a huge level of momentum and whatever independent power that it ever had. I know there are many now who question some of the ethical issues related to Ramsey’s administration, but despite spending a lot money trying to convict James; there was really nothing that rose above his rewarding those who were working to improve the University.

The new President and BoT took over and removed TJ without due process, and as bad as CRP was in so many respects …..at the end of the day it appears he may very well be innocent of everything other than negligence.

This should serve as a lesson in what happens when people surrender to those with an agenda.

It blew my mind when nobody followed up with the end of the Ramsey smear. It was criminal the things he was accused of, the money spent by UofL, and in the end they lied, the media lied and Ramsey was railroaded out by some powerful lying, agenda driven AH.
