Amazing watching a middling No Carolina team taking it to #1 Clemson. It might not last but watching the Tar Heels’ defense smacking around Clemson’s vaunted offense in the first half brings back memories of Dre Bly and the boys and what made Mack Brown one of the best coaches (and recruiter) in the country back in his day. The guy who’s teams at UNC stood up to ACC bully Florida St.

Up 14-7 late in the first half but the question is, can they keep it up after they cool off in the locker room at half.

and didn't they just lose to APP St last week? 14-14 with 11:11 in the 4th.
Yes. Just shows Mack can still coach after getting fat and lazy after winning the National Championship with Vince Young at Texas.

Now comes the tough part.

That was a great game to watch. Mack Brown was never really appreciated at Texas for what he was able to do. He was a terrific coach in his prime. Also, I loved the fact he went for the win but wasn't crazy about the option play against a solid Clemson defense.

Yeah I agree here - trying to beat the Clemson D sideline to sideline wasn't what I would have come up with either. Two players prior they leaked a TE wide open I may have tried some kind of QB roll then throw back to the TE. Then again, if I was in charged I'd have been down 60 drinking margaritas on the sideline!

That old fart can still coach.

GO CARDS - BEAT EVERYBODY!!! God Bless America!!!

Clemson always has one game where they choke or nearly choke, aka Clemsoning. I was hoping it would be against us but it may have been yesterday.

The thing UNC did that UofL has yet to show they can do is play turnover free football unfortunately.
