Louisville vs WKU 3 game series finalized for 2018-2020

Hearing reports that a neutral site (Nissan Stadium in Nashville) game is currently being finalized to be played in 2019. Good travel location. Sounds like a good time for both fanbases.

A 3 game series with WKU has been finalized. Louisville will host WKU in 2018 and 2020, with a neutral site game being held at Nissan Stadium in Nashville in 2019. Sounds like a good series.

This is exciting news! So it looks like 2018 OOC games will consist of Alabama (CAN NOT FREAKIN WAIT!), UK, Indiana State and WKU.

That makes for a pretty solid OOC schedule in my opinion. Yes, Indiana State and UK are weak squads but I like what WKU is doing down in Bowling Green. Should make for a competitive 3 games and not harm our schedule strength.

When we played WKU in basketball a couple of years ago at Bridgestone, it was awesome to see the whole town in red with both Cards and Hilltoppers walking downtown!!

I love games in Nashville. Very reasonable drive, good stadium, one hell of a fun downtown close to the stadium. Just a really fun weekend trip and game.

Mike Rutherford on the radio today opined that he didn't like the idea all that much. His reasoning was that WKU was not a P5 school and that we stand to lose more than we gain.

I got off my exercise bike and called the station asking "WTH is LPT?" His reply was that it satisfied our P5 "commitment"--which sounded more like LPT scheduling logic of finding the worst team possible team--and that LPT may improve. IOW the same crap "improve" logic that their fans use and that we summarily dismiss.

The next guy who called remarked about our adding WKU and IU, both teams that LPT has dropped. And this guy suggested we oughta consider dropping LPT! Ramsey said he was loving all of the "ram-slam" LPT putdowns. And Rutherford kinda shut up.
