That was an incredible pass he had to adjust and throw it side arm to get it around the defender and it was on target.
So hitting our quarterback in the neck or head is not a penalty. Hitting their quarterback in a head and neck area is a penalty.
The review was for targeting which I agree it was not. The Cards player slapped Leonard on the face mask and will always be called a roughing penalty.
Instead of targeting, it should have been roughing the passer on ND.

It was funny because the announcer who said the no call penalty on ND was a good call. Then when the ND quarterback got hit he said it was a good call.
It's just unbelievable how much luck ND has had in this game. Usually there's just a couple of fluke plays in a game. There's been four or five already. It's maddening!
Again, the no targeting was the right call. It should have been just roughing the passer, but there was no flag. It was replay that instigated the targeting review.
Then the ref made the wrong call because the hit on Shough was a harder hit than the one on Riley

First half observations, other than the obvious, we did not use our TE's for anything other than blocking. Didn't see them run a route at all. Hope that changes in the second half because that's a weapon we have but didn't use.
I always wish we would go outside more and now we did with the wrong player. This has not been a well played first half for Louisville.
Well, the timeouts didn't hurt the Cards. Get that 1st down, call a TO, still 40 seconds to go.

I didn't mind passing on the FG if we got the one yard needed. It's not like we haven't been running the ball successfully.
I just don't understand not going with the QB sneak, especially with a 6'5 QB.
But again, the refs didn't know where to place the ball. Dude just walked to a spot and sit the ball down. The fact it was an inch short was just simple luck of the Irish. There's was a lot of that in that first half.

Well…. after all said and done., we’re still in this.

I don’t care what the call on the field was the point is both quarterbacks were hit in the head which is a penalty. One was hit in the head and you could see his head snap back and not a penalty. The other was hit in the head with an arm and it was a penalty.
I wonder if there will be paint left on the walls of the lockerroom after Brohm gets finished chewing their asses?
Well the good thing is we get the ball first to start the 2nd half. Let’s hope we take advantage of it.
Two of the big turnovers were very unusual for the Cards this season. We haven't seen a bad snap like that on a punt for awhile and Brooks dropping that catch that led to the interception.

Shough got tackled 2 times after he released the ball no call. I am curious to see what happens when Riley gets hit.
