LOUISVILLE VS KENTUCKY GAME THREAD

Can't wait to see Payne smiling and laughing while shaking Cals hand after getting blown out in front of a crowd of uk fans in the Yum.

He can't help but smile. I'm reminded of the Beatles song Baby you're a rich man for some reason. He's gonna be a millionaire either way. Smdh

Sloppy 2nd half by both teams. Cards lucky that did not creep to 30+.

Cards lost the game in the 1st half. The last 10 to 15 minutes of the half anyway. Ty-Laur was awful tonight.

I knew UK could shoot it but thought the Cards would keep it closer (one of the few). That 14-2 UK run to the end the half was enough. Cards could not make up any ground in the 2nd half.

It truly comes down to KP trying to play Cal’s style without his talent. Very poor coaching. The Cards have some talent to compete but piss poor coaching with a bad system.

Correction - Cards lost this game - and dozens of others - the day that Payne was hired.

Touché. No argument from me on that.

It’s truly unfortunate because this team has enough talent to compete and should not be 5-7. 9-3 at worst with this schedule.

This game in a vacuum - For me, it’s things like stretching the floor to press and extending the defense late in the 1st half. Bad move. It opened up the game for UK to get open 3s and play fast. It fed into UK’s game/style of play and let them open the game up. The offense doing so much off the dribble leading to unforced turnovers.

Louisville was down by 14 (36-22) with 6:16 to go in the half. Cut it down to 8 (39-31) with 3:15 to go in the half…. Down 20 at half. Just some questionable moves and substitutions. I could go on.

It’s truly unfortunate because these players are not as bad as they’re playing. It’s a shame.

You will also notice they had a slew of players who could shoot. That's what I never understood about rankings. How can you have a star or 4 and not be able to put the ball in the basket. Or can't dribble. Confounding I tell ya.

One of Cal’s best shooting teams. Multiple players that can light it up. Makes for a dangerous team especially the way they move and share the ball.
