LOUISVILLE VS CLEMSON GAME THREAD

No one can walk away and tell me Clemson was the better team. That was Louisville’s to win and just classicly crumble at the end. Ive seen that show more than once. There’s a reason we haven’t won a road game since ‘14. This team cant close.

Padgett allowing a 28 second play on in regulation with a timeout in his hands is all I need to know.

You said “team”, we are a bunch of talented players that don’t play TEAM ball...yes we do have the more talented roster though.

And he should’ve used the timeout just to get McMahon into the game.

No point to be any excited until Virginia Tech. We are not winning at FSU. This was a game we needed to win in order to go 2-2. Now it’s likely a 1-3 situation. That sucks and hurts our resume big time. Several losses against good teams, but both Clemson and Seton Hall were wins we let slip away. Win those 2 games in the final minute and we have a completely different look on this team. Honestly.

Many other seasoned coaches would not have called a timeout in that situation.

Different philosophies and strategies on the game.

Remember the defense could have made adjustments as well.

I like the no timeout call by Padgett. We had a coach here before that on many occasions did not call a timeout in that situation.

When you’re guaranteed a look at the last shot, most coaches will call a timeout and put their best offensive players in.

Yep. We could've put in McMahon for a shot, or the smarter play since it was tied, to set up a play for Spalding JUST like they did after a timeout earlier in regulation. I mean Spalding was eating up any player down low. Just why settle for a 3 I mean even Snider should've drove the ball in. Just sad a veteran player sets up to shoot a 3 not once, but twice when the game is tied. Bad play design imo.
