I'm not sure about that spread. I was very impressed with State. They hit like a ton of bricks.Oh crap! Not again. Jeeze I wish those guys would lighten up.
GO CARDS - BEAT EVERYBODY!!! God Bless America!!!
Maybe the best defense we face all year. That line will get bet down big time.

I was very impressed with the Wolfpack's defense against Clemson. Per NCAA's stats, they are currently ranked 16th in total defense. It will be a challenge. Plus, the Cards stormed out of the gate without people knowing what to expect. Coaches now have a good idea, know what to do. Duke's game plan was pretty good. Control the ball and clock, keep it close, and let's see what happens.
On the topic of defensive rankings, as good as NCST is in that regard, looking at future opponents, Houston is currently ranked 10th in total defense, and BC is currently ranked 4th. That's pretty crazy since they gave up 56 to Clemson recently, and 49 to Va. Tech. Louisville, fwiw, is currently ranked 11th.
Moving on. I like how the program, the university, etc. is not making a big deal about the program's 500th team win on Saturday. While an impressive milestone (all things considered,) it's a dubious one at that, considering the number of teams who have a lot more wins than we do. Win #500 is probably ancient history for a lot of teams. My god, this program has come a long way fast.

Maybe if it was UNC. State's fan base is centered in Raleigh sort of like U of L in Louisville. The rest of the state belongs to the Tarheels. That was a "home" game (Charlotte) for NCST as evidenced by some of the calls.
We were the new kid on the block and got hosed.

Gonna be tough for NCST to be as fired up as they were for Clemson.
A loss like that, to a highly ranked "traditional" conference power, takes an emotional toll.
I think we cover.
