Damon Owens has been on Louisville's radar for most of the Satterfield regime's young tenure. Kentucky was the first school to offer Owens on April 14, 2019 followed by the Cards on the 27th. As soon as the 2021 contact period began Louisville established communication and hasn't relented.

"Me and Coach Mckenzie the running backs coach text every day. He just checks in on me asking me how I’m doing and sends some motivational messages. So me and him have a cool tight relationship that’s gonna grow even more when I get up there and spend some time on campus," said Owens

So when does Owens hope to spend some time on campus?

"I’m actually planning my junior days for my top six schools tonight with my family so I can let you know the exact date tonight," revealed Owens, "I’m thinking I'll announce them sometime next week."

Louisville's next junior day event is scheduled for March 21st.

Dave's Deliberations: Louisville will be included in his top-six. Asking him for the other schools in his top-six before he announced it would be bad form. But, if I had to guess I'd put Missouri, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, and Wake Forest in the other five spots. If there's a conflict between Louisville's junior day and another school's look for the staff to schedule a date where he can get individualized attention.
