Two of the most storied programs meeting today. Duke's depth took an even bigger hit with Jones not playing. Hopefully we can wear them down. MUST stay glued to Allen. Should be a great environment

I agree about staying glued on Grayson Allen. Hopefully Ray Spalding's elbow gets glued to Allen's face early in the game.

Run Allen off the three point line and make him a driver without fouling. Everyone knows he is going to be flipping all over the place

Duke is one of the dirtiest teams around.

Hard to believe that one player can beat a entire team. That's what this first half has been. One guy. Basketball is not that complicated a game like say football is. Why we can't have somebody guard Allen and at least make him take tough shots and not easy drives to the goal and wide open 3's.

And I love Mitchell, but he's not a 3 pt shooter.

Allen is a dirty player. He smacked Johnson in the face twice during the scrum on the floor and nothing was said about it. Johnson retaliates and he's the bad guy who gets the technical. Remember, Allen is the guy who intentionally tripped Spalding the last time these two teams played. He's got a ton of talent but he plays dirty. Hopefully he lost a tooth or two from Johnson smacking the crap out of him.

It was a good win because it was against a good team like Duke. I have nothing against Duke or Coach K I am glad we are in the same conference. The announcers kept talking about the Duke players who were injured and unable to play. They said the outcome could have been different if they had all their players and I agree.
I kept waiting for them to mention we had players who were injured and how the outcome could have been different if we had all our players as well but they never did.

What did you expect? It was Duke Vitale calling the game. He couldn't be any further up Duke's ass if he tried. I enjoyed the win, but I'm still irritated at all the BS calls (or in the case of Plumlee, all the no calls especially on the moving screens) which kept this one close. UofL should have blown them out. It's still a win with this team having nothing but pride to play for. This is a special group of kids. They deserve better.

Duke now knows what other teams feel like when they have to play at their place. The first time around, Duke made only two baskets the final 8 minutes of the game but won because they shot a bunch of FT's. Today, at the Yum center, they made only two buckets the last 8 minutes but this time they lost because they didn't get all the calls. That charge call on Allen that fouled him out was terrible. It was an obvious block on Nanu but hey, it's nice to get some home whistles once in a while.

There's no way all that pressure we put on Ingram would have been allowed without a bunch of fouls on Duke's home court. He was totally rattled today and it was probably his worse game this year. Everyone knows of the home court advantage at Duke and UK when it comes to whistles, but not so much at Louisville. Today however, we were allowed to play aggressive and a few key calls went against Duke.

We'll see the difference at Miami, Pitt and Virginia when those teams shoot a lot of FT's. It's just the way it is in college hoops. That's why the NCAA tourney is so good because there's no home court advantage.

Oh, and Adel was the man today. Can't wait to see that starting lineup next season. We're going to be loaded.

Nanu
Adel
King
Snider
Mitchell

Spalding
Mahmoud
Hicks
Johnson
Mathiang
Hughes
Stockman

That lineup is scary. Preseason ACC favorites next season?

Duke Freshman Luke Kennard's Mom Garth err... Mrs Kennard can't believe they blew a 13 point lead.

Party on Garth. Those Cardinals are most excellent!

The charge foul on Allen was against Jaylen Johnson which was poetic justice for Johnson. To me our lineups seemed odd today but give CRP credit because he played it right. We were bigger than them in almost every position.

I would like to hear from CRP on why he decided to go with Deng today. He probably played more minutes in today's game than the last five put together. Also why he stuck with JJ instead of going back to Spaulding, which he has been doing a lot lately. It makes him look like the genius he is.

Not sure we should count on Nanu being back for next year. Even so, we'll be strong in the middle with Mangok, Mahmoud, and Matz!

I thought the same thing about Jaylen being in there at crunch time but I will one day quit questioning the master.

One only has to refer back to the grumblings going on about why a struggling and sometimes slow footed transfer Luke Hancock was getting so many minutes over Wayne Blackshear. Then last year when fans were down on Wayne after the collapse at UNC only to watch Rick make him the focal point of the offense on an unlikely NCAA tourney run.

I like Duke a whole lot more than I used to. Their coach is 100% class, and I support all ACC teams. Duke was a big proponent of our admission to the conference...

According to today's paper Deng was in there to harass Ingram, which he did masterfully!!!! There is so much talent on this team and going forward with next year's team that it is scary (yet inspiring). You just have to wonder what this team could have done in post season.

Locked down a potential number 1 draft pick. Ingram was all kinds of rattled.

He made some freshman mistakes but outside of those he played great especially in the 2nd half. If Adel, Mitchell and Spalding stay here four years they will be a dominant trio.
