I worked a while on this article and thought you Cardinals fans might be interested in looking at how Pitino compares to the rest of the coaches in the ACC. It also looks at any presictive factors to thw coaches success based on talent. Have a look and let me know what you think.

Assuming I understand your calculations--and irrespective of your remarks in red and green--my takeaway is that the ACC coaches perform consistently regardless of talent. There aren't enough data for Coach K. Williams and Pitino each do a little better (winning %) when they have more talent. Hamilton does a lot better. But Boeheim, Gottfried, and Dixon do a little worse. Brey's performance is flat. That's your top eight coaches on the list by winning %.

I appreciate you did a lot of work. But I'm not sure there's much profound in there, except maybe to discount when a coach talks about how great his incoming recruiting class is...
