Letss Gooooooooo!

Great post. Huge props to the team. Loved Suttons heart and lunch pail mentality, especially on the boards today. Good overall game by Adel.

Let's just hope this latest lineup change is the secret key to this teams success. I'd always advocated for more PT from Sutton and with him starting he now gets that. The guy at least gives this team a little "edge" with his toughness.
You know I would love to believe that it is as simple as maybe playing the right person but I suspect it’s more about getting the guys on the court who will give 100% effort, both offensively and defensively, every game. You can have all the talent but if they only continue to provide little or no effort, the team will not get better. Play guys with less talent but hustle and the whole team can get better.

I agree. The Otis George effect. Otis was not the most talented player to ever suit up for the Cards, but on effort alone, he was a monster. Loved seeing Sutton locking horns with VTs bigs today for rebounds. Not everybody on this team has shown the eagerness to do that. The kid is pretty versatile as well.

Never thought the odd man out would be Nwora. His defense must be really poor. Did he even play today?

I agree with all about the team effort today especially from the starting five. We didn't get much production off the bench today. Perry gave us 8 points, and 3 assists. Anas got us 4 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 blocks. The starting 5 got the rest on a tough home team. It's not easy beating Va Tech in Blacksburg. This was a very good win.

He didn't log any minutes today.

I think that Nwora just happened to be the odd man out today and may be due to match ups too. Adel was playing a good all around game, Perry did well, and of course Sutton was huge. Padgett probably just stayed with those guys. I do like Nwora getting a chance in most games though, especially if "bad" Adel shows up again along with a struggling King.

Though Sutton made a great case for himself for more PT with this game. Only so many minutes to go around.

Couldn’t be prouder of Deng. He actually passed the ball today... well. Didn’t try to do to much which was excellent. You could tell he wanted to shoot it at times but instead passed the ball. Sutton what can you say he’s a baller. Everyone with the exception of Anas played well. Anas he just doesn’t seem to care. Spalding is on his way to the NBA and he deserves it.

The last game Nwora played, I watched him let a defender just waltz in without trying to block him out for a rebound and the guy got an easy put back. That’s the last I have seen of Jordan.

Right now a few of the draft projections have Ray as a late 2nd rounder while most have him undrafted.
