Lamar in NY!

Still say the way to measure the correct winner is to ask - if Mayfield was QB for Louisville would they be close to being 3rd in total offense.

Its one thing to be a dual 'threat', but Lamar was the engine to a team that lost a lot of skill from last year and yet is still THIRD in total FBS offense.

The voting is probably done. But the voters need to look hard at how special Lamar is.

Well deserved. Most exiting player in college football. You give me first pick and it would be Lamar and it’s not close. He also seems like he has carried himself better on and off the field better than Baker. Lamar’s stats are better this year and he deserves to win it.

I do find it very interesting how little respect and recognition Lamar has received all year. Strictly from a college point of view he is the biggest threat offensively that anyone has seen maybe ever. That is a legit statement which is backed up by his actual on field performance and the fact that no one has really talked about Lamar until now really shows the big school bias.

He is not projecting in the first round of the NFL. Unless he is guaranteed a 1st round spot Jacksons camp could make a really good case for him coming back. If all the Junior QB's come out as expected it may make more sense to come out next year and be the first quarterback taken. He is a true Junior therefore he is young. The reality is if he doesn't go in the first round he is probably looking at mid 2nd round. He is going to have to make a tough call.

I think he goes but if everything being said by the NFL guys is correct it isn't a crazy idea to come back. Alexander is more of a lock to go at this point. The Mississippi State game is a big game for him professionally speaking.

Only Mel Kiper/Todd McShay are saying this...look at it this way...last year at this time Pat Mahomes according to them was a 3rd Round Pick...listen to ppl in the media like Daniel Jeremiah-(Who actually has worked in a NFL Front Office)...they are much higher on LJ....even as a 2nd Round at this point in his case you go...Case in point....CBS Sports Mock Draft that came out yesterday...

1. Cleveland Browns
Lamar Jackson, QB, Louisville. This seems unlikely now ... but based on Hue Jackson's affinity for a mobile quarterback, this could become "a thing" over the next few months. Jackson would add an electric element to the Brownsoffense that's been missing for a while.

Its a double edge sword, going 1st is of course awesome but going later to a better team obviously has its advantages. Money now vs money later when the rookie contract is over and your on a better team... I would love to see him go first but if he does fall a bit its not all bad. Either way I cant see why he would come back as much as i wish he would.

It is difficult to imagine having Teddy Bridgewater and Lamar Jackson back to back as your starting quarterback at a collegiate level. From an ability and character point of view, it simply could not have been any better.
I, too, think Lamar got the short end of the stick this year, but he never complained, and unlike his competition, has never been anything except a gentleman.
We have been blessed that these two young men have been Louisville Cardinals.

Jackson has to think about can the NFL team that would draft him and protect his body. Survival and longevity define a long NFL career, while a bad offensive line cuts a career very short.

Hopefully he doesn’t go to the Giants....Their OL is awful...and actually of the teams with a good OL is Cleveland and Denver...believe it or not...they don’t have RB, QB or WR...the Broncos do have good WR...

UK fan here in peace. I have been tied to some events/awards over the past two years where I have been able to both meet Lamar and get a good sense of how he has been reviewed/evaluated by his peers.

You all already know this, but Lamar is the best and most talented player in the country. He's also a great young man to be around. Very high character and a natural leader.

If the Heisman is true to what it stands for, Lamar will win this weekend. Like others in previous years, guessing he may not win. But that does not change the reality of the situation. Best of luck to Lamar both this weekend and beyond!
