Lamar finishes third in Heisman vote

4 losses did him in. Glad he was reinvited. Special talent. Deserved it. Will never see someone like him ever again.

I guess grabbing your crotch, disrespecting an opponents feild, fleeing police officers are character values the voters are looking for along with stats. Not a young man that has handled himself in a very respectful way all year. When asked about the incident with Jordan Jones, he could have sad unfavorable things, but chose to say it was just two guys wanting to win. Lamar has not only put up some very good stats himself, just as good as last year, he has done with class! I could go on and on. It was a privledge to be able to watch this young man. Thank you Lamar for choosing U of L!!

Having any type of moral compass means nothing to the people who vote. The list of low level class who have won this award is long. Winston, Manziel, Newton, and Bush come to mind. None are considered high character people and now Mayfield joins them.

Wouldn't matter if UofL was 13-0, number 1 in the playoffs and Lamar having better numbers than last year when he won it ( actually did have better numbers)

They refuse to have a double winner.

This is true, but had he acted like Mayfield they would have raked him through the coals. Complete double standard. And when they said Mayfield was the most elusive player I almost choked. Sure he’s good but let’s put him behind our OL for the first 7 games and see how he handles it. Wouldn’t be close. Oh well he won last year and I don’t want to continue ranting. Mayfield won it. Congrats. And congrats to Lamar for doing such a great job of representing UofL when we need it most. He’s what we all want as a student athlete.

And imagine if Lamar would have behaved last year like Mayfield has. Guarantee they would have given the trophy to Watson in a landslide vote.

Congrats to all the finalists. All are special players. But Lamar was still more special to the objective observers.

When the talking heads cited Loves "over 8 yards per carry" as something special (it is) they should have indicated it was not a differentiator since Lamar had over 8 yards per carry as well.

Lamar wouldn't have been invited to NY, last season or this one if he
had any of the three strikes, Mayfield had.

Thats how blueblood/big boy football operates.

Texas cheats. SMU cheats. Which got the death penalty?

Same as basketball. UofL gets a rare 5 star-busted. SuCkS has 100. Not a oeep.
