For a decade Louisville fans railed about World Wide Wes and how unfair it was that he helped UK Now with Kenny at UL, he might help the Cards which I am good with Is that still unfair? Or are you guys just now getting a taste of what you were always envious of?

For a decade Louisville fans railed about World Wide Wes and how unfair it was that he helped UK Now with Kenny at UL, he might help the Cards which I am good with Is that still unfair? Or are you guys just now getting a taste of what you were always envious of?

There are two obvious answers to this:

1) Well yeah DUH Louisville fans railed about WWW, he was helping the rival. Making the target even easier, paying players was illegal, and as a rival Louisville assumed where there's smoke, there's fire - and assumed all these 5* recruits suddenly going to UK were getting paid by a reputed cheater in Calipari.

2) WWW may be a son of a bitch, but now he's our son of a bitch. Fans of both sides - that's how rivalries work. And, paying players is now completely legal as long as you do something somewhat resembling NIL rights and not outright buy their recruitment.

It's not that hard to figure out. It's as easy as water is wet and snow is cold.

The whole "he may be a SOB, but he's our SOB now" thing can't have a better example than when UK fans were railing about Calipari at Memphis until he was hired by UK.

Is it hypocritical? Sure. We're talking fandom here. Kind of like when Matt Jones called Cal a cheater, until he became the coach at UK and brought John Wall and the rest with him.
