Hate to disagree with you but Commonwealth is nicer venue than Papa Johns and will be after expansion of PJ.When I was in high school, my school (Doss) went to the sweet 16 at Rupp. It was a great experience. Very well attended from all over the state. When it's in Louisville, attendance isn't as good. A whole lot of UK fans from out in the state will go to sweet 16 just because it's in Rupp. I live out in the state now, and I hear people say they don't want to go things in Louisville because it's Louisville.
Rupp is a basketball Mecca. I've got no problem with the sweet 16 being there.
Football is just foolishness and ignorance on the part of the people that won't go to Louisville. The best stadium, best facilities in every way shape and form for football games. But there are people that won't go because it's in Louisville.
This is a complete joke right?Hate to disagree with you but Commonwealth is nicer venue than Papa Johns and will be after expansion of PJ.When I was in high school, my school (Doss) went to the sweet 16 at Rupp. It was a great experience. More amazing than that POV is that the slapd!cks invested $120 million to get Kroger's looking like it does today. And how they justified that investment with a REDUCTION in capacity....Commonwealth is nicer venue than Papa Johns and will be after expansion of PJ.
Heard an executive with the KHSAA on Deener's show Thursday morning... He said most of the issue with relocating the HS football championship games is facility availability. WKU and Louisville need their stadiums to be available later into the season for critical games.
Unstated was that LPT does not.
LPT Football: Home for the Holidays...
Sorry, but 41-38 says you don't know what your talking about.Hey !

Seriously dude. Commonwealth doesn't have near the amenities Papa Johns has now. When expansion is completed, our training facilities will outpace yours as well.Hate to disagree with you but Commonwealth is nicer venue than Papa Johns and will be after expansion of PJ.
And that is the other consideration... Does anyone really care if these games are ever played in Louisville again??I honestly could care less where high school games are played. They economic benefits are a blip on the radar.
To the garden variety Slapd!ck, it was.Even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then. This rivalry of ours, it's funny. Of all the games between us since the mid 90's, that win over us last November, y'all act like it was a national championship.
