A well deserved raise and I also hope the assistant coaches get raises as well. When I watched the games our whole coaching staff was engaged. It looked like a well oiled machine.
I can’t help but think if he hasn’t seen his last raise. This brings him in line with other ACC coaches and he surely will get an elite program raise once the program starts winning NCAA tournament games.
I think it was a smart move. NIL is king, revenue sharing is a big deal. Ole Zipp was right on this point Louisville has to generate more revenue. If they get back to the days of generating 40m-60m in revenue in basketball revenue sharing become less daunting.
This is one way Louisville can close the TV revenue gap. The other ACC schools can’t come close to this kind of revenue generation.
