According to Eric Crawford, our Kempom ranking when Padgett was let go was #38. With Mack being let go, we now sit at #112 behind the likes of DePaul, Furman, South Carolina,Grand Canyon..

Plus it cost us about $14 million for that improvement..

I was unaware Nwora, Carlik, and Johnson were on this year's team. Your OP references this year's UofL team. Like seriously dawg, you are all over the place and this thread just started!

Here's a little nugget .... to most, it might help explain this shift in Kenpom ranking, for you... who knows? Probably not.

Padgett's team had 5 guys ranked inside the T50 by Recruiting Services. 2 of them were JRs and 1 a SR, all 3 of those guys had spent their entire careers in the program up to that point. Adel, Ray, and Q. A couple young role players in VJ and Malik to round out the 5 in the top 50. Nwora was actually on Padgett's team but a role player, and ranked in the 70s, not even one of the five dudes in the T50.

UofL's current team, I need to remind you... did not have Johnson, Carlik, or Nwora. Anyway, the current team has 2 guys that were rated inside the T50 by recruiting services. One is Malik, who is a shell of what he was when he got that ranking. The other was Sam. Sigh. I do love Sam it just hasn't worked out like we thought. Maybe next year. I am pulling for him.

So yeah, this could be a talent issue, and yeah Mack would be responsible for the talent he had this year, and we could blame him for that. Yes. We could. We could blame Mack for just about anything, I am quite sure he doesn't give a sh!t.

I'm not sure we can credit DP for the talent on his roster he inherited, but I still think he did a hell of a job given the circumstances. To be clear, I love DP and if he were retained as the HC I would have rooted my ass off for him. Love DP.

Withers, Samuelson, those didn’t change. Read the profiles on this years team roster. Most of them were highly recruited by other programs. You failed again.

That would be a direct reference to now, since Mack and UofL parted ways within the last 48 hours. Now means now. Those are your words. You typed it. "We now sit at #112"....That's not Mack in general.

If you were going to talk Mack in general, why not post his kenpom ratings for each year? He had the Cards @ #9 in 2020. And #23 in 2019. And #59 last year. Why not include that data? Oh, because you are clearly discussing THIS year, and not Mack in general, that's why. Because the data from 2019 and 2020 would not help you in your desire to run Mack down further. Got it.

Why are you moving your goalposts to "in general" bro? Never mind, don't answer. It doesn't matter.
