If he believed the entirety of these allegations coach would be suspended for sure. He may still be forced to because of media pressure but the fact that he hasn't already says a lot. That makes me more confident than anything. Jurich is the best in the biz and he's got some info that the media baitors (ESPN, talk radio, etc...) do not. This is nowhere near done and a lot of these gloom and doom people will see the truth soon enough. I'll stay L1C4 and wait for the facts to come out here.

I think he believes the allegations but also believes that Pitino didn't know. He also knows that the season is mere weeks away and to suspend Pitino now - with no Willard and potential serious issues looming over Balado, etc. from the scandal - would destroy the season. I don't think Padgett is ready to take over.

Besides, he didn't get to be the best AD in the country by worrying about the media.

But Rick was not present Saturday for the ACC Basketball Kickoff meeting! It makes say WTF!

I am pretty sure the only reason CRP didn't go to the ACC media day is because he was thinking about the other schools overall. If CRP went it would be a media circus directed at him and it would detract from the positive attention for the other schools. There is no way it is an admission of guilt.

I sure as hell hope so. He's known about this since August. Has attorneys, private investigators, inside sources, unlimited resources. If he doesn't I'd really be scared.

Go Cards!
Spot on. There isnt much substance to these allegations and the head man knows it.

Now that McGee has resigned from the NCAA, THE NCAA can not touch him. The only way they can talk to him is in court. Even if it does get that far................it will be a long time. Then you can guarantee that Katina Powell has evidence against UofL. As for right now, now one is producing hard evidence................just word of mouth.

This. Rick is a classy guy. There is no way he would do this to the other ACC programs. You know if Rick showed up the attention would be full on him and UofL. Out of respect to the conference, opposing schools, and coaches he likely decided it was best to sit this one out. I think it is a good idea and classy gesture.

I don't think Tom would have just suspended him if these allegations were try, I think Tom would have fired him. I think the pure fact he publicly backed Rick says there is nothing to these allegations. In Tom we trust and I have little doubt he knows what is really going on.

FYI, word of mouth from witnesses (and in this case, participants) is what most cases rely on. Hard evidence does not mean that there needs to be photos, and videos of people having sex. There is no reason for former players to come up and lie. If anything, they take a risk of being hated for the rest of their lives by their fans. Until now, they were just past players. ESPN would have also vetted the players before reporting. Still plenty of questions, like where the money came from, and what motivated Andre, but as for hard evidence, there seems to be plenty. If UL decides to sue the publisher, then McGee would be subpoenaed whether he is in the NCAA or not. If the publisher decides to sue UL or McGee, or anyone, he would also be required to appear. Would he be prosecuted for anything? Maybe not. Would he implicate UL? Possibly.
