Coach Mack is clearly trying to send a message to Jordan Nwora by not starting him. Nwora had 20 points and 7 rebounds in 18 minutes.
Nwora is obviously a scorer but needs to get better at other facets of the game... defensively and his overall toughness.

Coach makes no secret about who starts. The 5 who start earn their starting roles in practice. It is very possible that Nwora just isn't a good practice player.

I've seen that before. Some players only rise to the occasion when the lights come on. We're talking about practice. Practice. Not a real game. Practice. LOL

Nwora is going to cost a game or 2 down the road. He is a me first type of player. Hardly ever passes and forget it on a fast break. I was at the game last night and it was clear to me he's a gun that is weak on the over end.

It's all part of molding these guys into a unit.Son,we need you on the floor, but you have to understand your contributions have to go beyond scoring. He'll figure it out, hopefully sooner than later.

Actually,I think Cue hits the nail on the head more squarely with the practice habits.

If what you say is true, and I'm not doubting you I haven't seen the team yet....then he'll cost them more than a game or two.

If he is all about himself, this coach won't settle for it.
I won’t go that far but his vision is focused on the rim at times. He has missed some guys open in the corners like McMahon. Sutton is the better passer and rebounder and Nwora is a better offensive threat and gets to the foul line. They sort of compliment each other.
