It's going to be a whirlwind seven days for Andrew Jones.
The fast-rising Class of 2016 basketball prospect from Irving, Tx., MacArthur High School is scheduled to be making unofficial visits to five schools in seven days.
One of those visits was to the University of Louisville on Thursday and Jones gave the Cardinals high marks. He spent time watching the Cardinals practice in preparation for a trip next week to Puerto Rico and chatted with Rick Pitino and his staff.
"It went really good," Jones said. "I really enjoyed watching them practice."
Jones said his chat with Pitino went "great" and noted that he was intrigued by how hard the Cardinals' went in a practice that was taking place in the first week of August.
"That's what stood out to me, just how hard they went," Jones said.
Jones, rated as one of the most underrated players in the country in a Scout.com poll of coaches from the summer, also made a visit to Texas on Tuesday and has three other trips lined up.
The 6-foot-4 shooting guard is slated to be at Baylor on Friday, Texas A&M on Saturday and Arizona on Monday.
"I wanted to get out and see some places and then figure things out," Jones said.
Jones averaged 11.8 points a game while playing for ProSkills during the regular season of the Nike EYBL circuit. In the five-game Peach Jam last month, Jones bumped his averages up to 18.4 points and four rebounds per game.
