Cardinal WBB great Jazmine Jones has been added to the Washington Mystics roster in the WNBA. Jones will join the team for their final two regular season games, both against Indiana (at Indy on Friday at 7 p.m. and at Washington Sunday at 3 p.m.). Jones will be available for the Mystics run in the WNBA Playoffs. The Mystics are in third place in the Eastern Conference and fifth overall in the WNBA at 20-14. Indiana, with Emily Engstler, has been eliminated from playoff contention.
According to Mystics coach Mike Thibault, Jones will serve in a "insurance role" for the Mystics and probably not see much court time.
Jones will assist clients in selecting insurance policies that best meets their needs, preferences and budgets. Her main duties will include creating client payment methods, recommending risk management strategies to clients and providing policy proceeds after clients’ submitted claims are approved. ( JUST KIDDING!) -- I just thought the "insurance" reference was interesting by Thibault.
It's a chance for Jaz, who is on her third WNBA squad since she joined the league, and a reunion with UofL teammate Myisha Hines-Allen.
