yikes, that means, i believe, he'll need a bridge and thus work on the two anchor teeth too. he'll get a temp today after a few hours of work and hopefully a 3d image scan. then a few weeks later perfect bridge is installed. had to replace my 3 tooth bridge last year with a 4 tooth one. fun.

He can maybe get implants in the offseason. Our insurance should pay, since it happened in the line of duty.
from all the family members i've known that have had implants, none like them. my dentist said they are a last resort and something to stay away from if possible. involves drilling down into your jawbone to set. i think three or more visits. much easier to have a bridge. his teeth already look normal i'm sure tonight with the temp and most likely his new bridge will get the fast track and will be replaced in a week and he'll never think about it again hopefully. implants involve way more risk of the body not liking the material and takes more visits and pain. bridge just easier, less pain and safer, imho. any here have implants and disagree?

Implants, definitely the way to go. I’ve had 7 over the years and never had a problem. A plug for Dr. Livesay.
Same here. I have a mouth full of them, they're just like real teeth. No issues at all. You can eat rocks with them if you chose to 😄.. zthey are permanent teeth..Very costly but well worth it. As Rollem said a UofL dentist grad will step up for this without a doubt..

Yeah but the issue is first you have to have temporary, got to let the gums and surrounding tissue heal.... Its not an one appointment thing and its over deal. This will probably be something he has to deal with the rest of the season. He doesn't want any direct contact to the same area.
