Just. Can't. Shoot.
After going 17/32 and claiming an 8 point halftime lead we go 2/16 in the first 13.5 minutes of the second half and finish 6/32 (19%) or an effective FG% of 25% figuring in the 1/6 on 3 point attempts. For the game our EFG% was 39%, well under our seasonal average of 48% (#217 nationally). To put that in perspective a 39% EFG% would rank 352nd among 351 teams.
I have no idea how many deflections it takes to make up for that...75, 80, 100?
All things considered we will likely never see an easier path to FF than what was laid out before us this year. I still think CRP did a great job with a team that could not drop a ball in the river from the middle of the Big 4 bridge. But I cannot help but shake my head about how bad we were on offense.
Peace
