We played maybe our best game of the year but made way too many mistakes in the last 3 minutes. Missed free throws, fouling a three point shooter, walking on the inbounds, losing your assignment on defense.....all of that against the consensus #1 team.
Proud to be a fan of these kids and even more proude to not be affiliated with the likes of the slapstick posting above.

You’re serious? We are cursed man. Our basketball program is cursed. How can you keep going back to the well for that poison water? I was at the game tonight. It was my last home game as a student. And that turd was laid out the last minute? Not sure if you’re a religious person, but it’s like God does not want us to win?

Thanks, I’m sure there will be tough moments later on. I have a lot to be thankful for. It’s unhealthy to stake so much emotion in things we can’t control. All I ask for in a basketball program at this point is one that doesn’t embarrass the school with scandals. We can become as bad as Pitt for all I care.

Well, we had one of those for the last 17 years. His toughness and experience while having this year’s NBA Rookie of the Year on his team last year, with the same supporting cast, led to the Cards getting pummeled twice last year by a UVA team ranked out of the Top 10.

Coaches as talented as Pitino don’t just come around every day either. My goodness, With all this program has been through, would it be too much to ask to have a little patience?

We need a better coach to teach players basic basketball? Like how to inbound the ball and not foul a three point shooter and not allow endless layups and not take bad shots and make free throws? This wasnt a strategy loss! It was basic basketball that shouldn't need to be taught at this level!

Yes. What gets lost by the final outcome is that we did played our best basketball against the No. 1 team in the country for about 35 minutes. Can’t say the light is coming on but there was improvement, again overshadowed by the final outcome.
