Imafidon in the portal

I’m not shocked. Jeff took a chance on a 6’5” player in hopes she could develop. From what I saw of her she was just so raw, even after a RS year.

We take 6'-5" projects, they don't play in their first year and then they transfer. We couldn't play Imafidon and Hardy because they were too "raw" or whatever but our 6-3 sophomore from Turkey played 430 minutes, did not block a shot and avg. 3 pts and 2 rebounds. I don't usually call out players but it is what it is.

I think Coach Walz is one of the best coaches in America, but we just seem to be treading water.

Yeah the roster construction has not been ideal recently. Basically 4 projects between Hardy, Imafidon, Elif, and Isla. Seemed like the game started to slow down the last few games for Elif & Isla. Hopefully we see a good level of improvement over the offseason.

I cannot disagree; the facts are what they are. The Portal is the only way we are going to return to an ACC favorite and more FFs.

TCU decided to go “full portal”, attracting Prince, Conner and HVL and were rewarded by going from “no where on the radar, to Elite 8”. CJW should go full throttle for Miles, as she can pass, score and rebound at the point guard position.
