I see something different everytime I watch it. I just noticed that Trez was the furthest Cardinal back when they all started sprinting back on offense before the dunk. Amazing.Originally posted by Steelers2012:
In my 40+ years of being a UofL fan, that is the single greatest stretch of Cardinal basketball I have ever witnessed. The capper being that alley oop that I thought for sure was thrown way too far over Trez's head to reach. And yes, I still get chills watching that as well. Thanks for sharing.
That game was played at a high level by BOTH teams. That's why it was so much fun to watch. Both teams had championship pedigree and both teams played like champions. I'm just thrilled the Cards were able to play that well to win the championship over a team that was equally deserving to win. That was a great basketball game. One of the best championship games I've ever watched.Originally posted by beakwithteeth:
Just thought I'd post something positive today before we all start harping on each other...
So here you go. And yes, I did get chills. Turn it up and enjoy!
Go Cards!

Ohhh...I have to rethink my vote now. Given the circumstances (the opponent, Final Four on the line, Original Dream Game), that has to be my all-time favorite stretch of play. Not that I would place winning an Elite Eight game on par with winning the National Title, but that OT stretch against UK definitely is my highlight, given I was UK student watching the game on the UK campus at the time.Originally posted by Louisvillian:
Maybe the greatest 3 minutes in Louisville basketball history and my favorite. Another personal favorite would be the 1983 Elite 8 Dream Game against Joe Hall's UKay Mildcats when the Cards scored the first 14 points in overtime in just over 3 minutes.
