I am watching the Purdue vs St. John’s women’s game and some bad refereeing at the end here. They called a foul on St. John’s on a blocked shot and the St. John’s player lost it They called a technical on her for her protest. During the Purdue celebration one of the Purdue players hit a St. John’s player in the face.
They went to review the hit to the face and determined it was a foul. During the review they were able to see there never was a foul committed but that was irrelevant. The thing I didn’t like was they said there was a 2 shot foul on both teams plus a technical foul on St. John’s.
Then they said both 2 shot fouls were offsetting and only the technical would be shot. To me that is a bunch of bull they should make them shoot free throws and earn the points. Let’s say Purdue goes to the line and misses their free throws but St. John’s goes to the line and hit their free throws?
