The more I look at the stats of App State; not the W-L's but the overall different stats from this year and previous years, the more I am really liking what I am seeing there under his direction.
While Satterfield is know much more for his offensive schemes: VERY quietly, App State has developed a perennial top 10 defense year over year. Yes, App State does not play a lot of powerhouse schools. But App State, (statistically speaking), is the best non-P5 defense of any of the non-P5 schools. That is very interesting to me. Their run defense this year has not been "great" but their pass D has been.
So I am becoming much more interested in Satterfield the more I dig into the "numbers" of college football in relation to App State.
