90% chance of rain and high of 52 for our golf game Friday. 100% chance of rain Saturday. High of 60. I was at the Southern Miss deluge in 2012 so it must follow me on away game. Ugh !

If it is going to rain that bad I hope they postpone the game. In the USM game we had Jeremy Wright running the ball and a good offensive line. We don't have that this year, at least not yet.

Rain will never cancel a game. If it's a deluge, let's hope it puts a big damper on the home crowd.

And picture a defender chasing Jackson around on a wet field...

I would not be the first time a FB game was cancelled on the east coast for a Hurricane.

It would fit right in with everything else.

Nobody knows what the weather is going to do either.

Despite what Zipp says, above, this game could actually be cancelled. It is not very likely, however. It would have to be regarded as a very dangerous situation for either/or the fans and players. More and more, universities are erring on the side of protection from danger. The state of North Carolina and its agencies, also the Raleigh police, NC State and Louisville - acting together, or the Referees, have the right (and obligation) to cancel the game, at a minimum. In practice, the refs will consult with the teams and go by what they say. In a game cancellation situation, the most likely scenario is that NC State and Louisville agree and announce the cancellation. The game may or may not be rescheduled, but if it were, it could be played at a different stadium. The game at Southern Miss that many of us attended should have been either cancelled or at least delayed for several hours.

Weather channel says it may be a category 3 major hurricane with one of the main tracking models predicting landfall this weekend in North Carolina and/ or Virginia. If that happens, there will be no football played in Raleigh....
