I realize he just beat our biggest rival...kudos. Was he not named in the FBI thing or something different recently ? Dude cheats everywhere he goes . Makes me think we should have just ridden the wave with Jurich and Pitino. Jurich's downfall was not just denying it all . Cheaters win in the NCAA and there is not a debate.

He was not named, but his assistant coach (Chuck Person) was accused of accepting $91.5k in bribes to steer players with NBA potential to a Pittsburgh-based financial advisor. Pearl was initially listed by the FBI as being uncooperative with their investigation of Person, but the Auburn President told Pearl he needed to cooperate. Since that time, Person has pled guilty, and Pearl has not been cited with any wrongdoing. Auburn held out sophomores Austin Wiley and Daniel Purifoy until they were cleared for play by the NCAA.

He did get a 3-year show cause penalty back in 2011 when he was at Tennessee. Auburn hired him in 2014 even though the show-cause penalty had not expired yet.

Absolutely. Cow was in charge of two programs that he left in shambles and his reward for either directly or indirectly being responsible for that was 8M a year to coach the yuts. Same went for Cow’s mentor - Larry Brown - guy got job after job. The only reason Pitino is coaching in Greece after screwing UofL’s program, is because he’s 70+ years old.

Yes. The player was Aaron Craft who ultimately was a standout at Ohio State. The biggest problem for Pearl was lying to NCAA (there was a picture of Craft at the BBQ).

Pearl has also not cooperated with the administration at Auburn, had one assistant plead guilty to federal charges and had an assistant this year get dismissed for his role in the federal bribery case from when he coached at Penn. Lots of great things going on around Pearl.

Oh, I don't doubt it for a second. I was only saying that if he were 50, he wouldn't have had to go to Greece - he'd have sat out a year and then would have been right back in college basketball.

Uh Cal was never found guilty of anything at either program that got their FFs vacated while he was there becase Cal doesn't have to cheat. He is the best bb coach of the modern times and the players come to HIM to play not the other way around.Not his fault that stuff happened and he had to go on to greener pastures. Well UK is the greenest pasture out there and now that he has signed a lifetime contract with us he won't be going anywhere. With UK and Cal together I know we'll overcome the all the dirty cheats on tobacko road like Duke and Uncheat. Well continue to do thigns the right way even though Coach K has resorted to paying plyers like Zion we don't have to do that.
