Honestly, this is the first time I've watched UK play since they played the Cardinals back in December. Here's my take.

If their bigs are going to be allowed to bull over the defenders with elbows and shoulders then get the defensive call as they finish the shot, then Notre Dame stands no chance of winning this game without hitting 3 pointers at the other end.

Notre Dame scoring inside is something I'm sure Calipari will address at the half. ND got several backdoor baskets because they were guarding the 3 point line tight, and ND moves well off the ball. Look for UK to make a defensive adjustment to stop that by sagging off some, which should open up some 3 point shots.

The whistles were without a doubt in the favor of UK. Notre Dame got 4 free throws in spite of all the in the paint scoring, and UK is getting every call regardless who actually makes the foul inside when they have the ball inside. UK shot 12 free throws and hit 10. 4 for 4 for the Irish.

31-31 tie thanks to some extremely questionable (who are we kidding here, they were BS calls) by the refs. If Notre Dame can withstand the BS calls and keep this one close, then Calipari could choke it away. He's done it before when he's had the better team. There's always a chance he'll do it again tonight. We'll see.

The same offensive hooking calls that Terry Rozier has been called for 3 times in the last 2 games, the smarmy Harrison twinnies have made a living at getting away with since they have been at the University of Calipari-Wesley.

The double dribble non call by three refs was astonishing. Those are two points that are not even up for debate.

Normally I don't. I think it's benign to blame the refs because it's the human factor that will always have some bearing on the outcome. I understand that but it's frustrating when that human factor appeared to be designed to decide the outcome from the opening whistle. The cheap calls to get UofK to the free throw line early on, then the blatant no calls all night long to include the obvious double dribble at a crucial moment in the game. The issues I have with what I saw last night were the blatant no calls.

It's really easy to block someones shot if you're allowed to grab their wrist and pulling it off the ball as they try to shoot. It is super easy for a player who is bigger and stronger to drop his shoulder, make contact as he drops his shoulder to create some space, hook the defender with his elbow to the ribs, then turn and shoot a 3 foot shot. Those no calls were responsible for close to 33% of UofK's scoring last night and Towns alone got away with that move at least 8 times. It's an offensive foul on the rest of the players playing in this tourney. Why is that not a foul when Towns does it?

As I said when I opened this thread, last night was the first time I've sat down and watched UofK play since the Cards lost to them last December. If UofK has been getting these types of calls by the refs all season then it's understandable why they're 38-0 now and on their way to a perfect season.

Color me not impressed.

Dead on Cue.

Ive not watched one second of SuCkS basketball since December, until last nite. Even then i watched sporadically.

The bull in china shop that randle was, is now townes. Instead of backing your man down, he bulls in, by the
time the defender recovers, its to late or a foul. That first half and1 was undeserving 3 pts.

The chicken wing to the ribs will get you calls. If SuCkS opponents employed this, their shots would not be blocked
at such a high value.

Of course the olsen twins jump full speed into someone. Last year one of them jumped into a guy with his back
turned and got the call.

ND didn't play their best and brey had brain freezes the last five minutes. Couple those with calls and non-calls
SuCkS receives, and not one UofL fan is shocked they won.

Only way to overcome the refs disparity is to have a 10 pt lead with 30 seconds. Even then, one cant trust refs.

Bunch of cry babies, haha it is comical to listen to Louisville fans cry about what Kentucky does. Why don't you worry about Michigan State besides Kentucky, you have had a cake walk to the Elite 8 enjoy it while you can.

UL fans cannot ever talk about UK fans blaming the refs ever again.

The ref whining is about a game UL didn't even play UK.
