Wow. Just heard on Mike & Mike that Bama should have held all the receivers on the final play from scrimmage with :06 left. Thus running the clock down and either winning by the clock running out or forcing Clemson to kick a field goal and send the game to OT. This never occurred to me, good point IMO.

Pretty sure that if they had held the receivers, they would have been tied up enough that DW could have made it to the Pylon. Ain't nothing dead solid perfect.

They are making big-bucks, just not on the sideline. They never said Saban was an idiot for not doing it, they just threw it out there and speculated if they may have considered that.

Yeah, I guess some do make big bucks.

But I still bet they weren't screaming "HOLD!! HOLD!!" at the TV last night at that second. They had to think about it.

Of course that will be the norm now, in any game with that situation, since they've brought it up.
