Hey Charlie, look up.

Another example of a coach only being as good as his assistants. I really think he would of had the same results in the ACC. He doesn't have a great network of coaching to pull from.

awesome crowd of 1500 USF fans for a Bowl game in their home city of Tampa. The “sleeping giant” of USF also has twice the enrollment as UofL.

We all make bad decisions. Props for giving Justin Burke an opportunity.
Yeah not much of a crowd, tho it was pouring down rain at times. Watched about 15 minutes of this (not all at once) some of 2nd and some of 3rd qtr. Fell asleep woke up and game was on ESPN replay. Saw couple of stadium shots your 1500 est is generous.

why did CS go from two back to back 7& 6 seasons to Sugar Bowl and 12 & 1 with a beat down of Miami? Two words. Teddy Bridgewater. Why the big drop off this year for USF. Two words Quiton Flowers. Name a decent qb from University of Texas the time he was there? QBs are key to success in college ball. But surprisingly his defense sucked recently. oddly that is why i like Satterfied and Ledford focus on running, zone blocking, and defense
. there are going to be years where your qb choice doesn’t pan out. look at us this year and UK this year. you can still win games with a good run game and stingy defense. to be great you need a Lamar or Tua, but with those two pieces in place you have a chance

Uh Tampa suffered 3 tornadoes that touched down Thursday. I’m sure bad weather affected the attendance.
Uh, ok. And I guess I just imagined myself and a stadium full of enthusiastic Cardinal fans sitting in the stands and rooting for Charlie’s team until the end of a regular season game in 2012 against Cincinnati with sleet and 30 mph winds blowing the whole game. I didn’t imagine it. It was awesome.

Make all the weather excuses you want, there was no threat of a tornado touching down during the Bowl game and less than 1500 USF fans show up to see a team that’s constantly competing for conference championships play in their home city?

Run Charlie run. USF fans are notoriously bad fans.

Also some apparently butthurt Cardinal fans... Strong is not my coach so I don’t waste energy worrying or wondering what he’s doing. You sound like a ex-wife...

Aw, that’s cute but I don’t have an ex-wife. In fact I don’t understand why you want to talk about sore butts and ex-wives. Whatever. Seriously though, I can walk and chew gum at the same time. I loved what Charlie did here. I honor it and have always wished him well.

I was pointing out how things in life don’t always play out the way you planned. Just be careful what you wish for.
