I agree, but if you compare the numbers, Jackson's stats are stupid good. The 5-3 team record is killing his chances though. A 9-3 team record with his stupid good stats would put him in the front row seating for the awards ceremony.IMO, it's Saquon Barkely's to lose by a sizeable margin at this point.
Stat wise, he should be the front runner. The award is supposed to go to the best player in college football. Not the best player on the best team in college football. Last year he won because the voters remembered that main criteria. This year he seems to be an afterthought although his stats are just as impressive if not more so.He at least needs to get an invite. To not would be criminal.
He would be the runaway choice for the Heisman today - without question. It is much easier to be the best player on the best team.
How good would LJ be if we had Bama's OL?
Good point. Love is tearing it up. I'm a bit baffled by that too.I think Barkley has the buzz Lamar had this time last year. Plus, if he goes off at Ohio State this weekend, he may be the run away winner. If the Buckeyes handle him and beat PSU, then the race remains open. Bryce Love, who I haven't seen play, but just looking at this rushing yards, how is he not the front runner?
Exactly. His stats are flipping stupid good.Blind resume and Lamar wins...top three in qbr and top ten in rushing, how is that even possible? Lol
There is a bias against West coast guys. They don’t get the exposure.I think Barkley has the buzz Lamar had this time last year.
